Split, the second city of Croatia is a vibrant centre on the Dalmatian coast, along with the picturesque Dubrovnik and has lots to offer for tourists of all sorts. How to get to Split
Split is the largest city in Dalmatia and one of the main traffic junctions at the same time. The International Airport is located near Kastel Stafilic between the two cities Trogir and Split. As early as the Neolithic was the populated area around Split. The Romans came in the year 78 BC to the plan, especially after the construction of the Diocletian Palace, the city shape. Cultural arrangements in Split
Carnival season in February is a good time for a visit when the city is crowded with people. A pop festival is happening once a year. There are plenty of cultural events happening in Split including theatre, classical music, opera and ballet at the Croatian National Theatre, as well as during the Split Summer Festival from mid- July to mid- August.
