Porozina on Cres is quasi the opposite the ferry port of Brestova. Here the regular ferry port is maintained by Jadrolinija in the hour clock (in the main season also halfonce per hour). In Porozina, directly to the ferry port is there a restaurant and a lunch. One pays the passage directly at the ferry port. The ferries one can drive through, backwards drives is thus not necessary. Otherwise one sees small fischer boats, which drive from here to fishing in the port. Porozina comes from latin and is called "place at that the lighthouse stands". On the hill over the landing place are the ruins and remainder of the monastery pc. Nikolaus and that gothical church from that 15. Ct. Here lived Franciscans, which came from the island. From Porozina one comes immediately on the island road NR. 100, which goes to Mali Losinj. The road is close and holprig the first kilometers, turns into thereafter into a new development. 2006 did much at the development of this road, one can to Martinscica over a perfect Magistral drive at present. Few kilometers before Cres is a departure after Merag, to a further ferry port with direct ferry line to the island Krk - Valbiska.
