How to get to Makarska
Makarska is situated 70 km southeast of Split. Since the completion of the road/ A1 motorway, the best way to the Makarska is on the end of the motorway at Sestanovac. From here you continue on the Jadranska Magistrala. Alternatives are travel by ferry from Rijeka and Split or by train to Split. Those who arrive by plane, landing on the airport situated in Kastela Split. From here you have to then use the airport to travel to Split to the car intercity bus station in a move.

History of Makarska
Makarska was inhabited as early as the Neolithic Period, years before 8000, which confirmed by the cave located in the Great Bubnjavača hill.
