Kvarner
From Croatia
Kvarner Bay - a large bay of the Adriatic coast, which separates the Istrian coast from southern Dalmatia. Rijeka, the regions main industrial town, with a harbour is worth a visit, although most tourists directly reach for the islands or south. The islands include Krk, Cres, Lošinj, Rab and a part of Pag, which are described in more detail in the section on Croatian islands.
